Mercedes-Benz sedans are often on a list of dream cars for Chandler drivers. Many come to us at Mercedes-Benz of Chandler with questions about the difference between the C-Classand E-Class. Which is why we’ve got an in-depth look at the C-Class vs. E-Class below!

Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs. E-Class: Price & Trim Range

The first thing that Phoenix drivers will notice is the starting price: the E-Class is more expensive, though you get what you pay for in extra features and space. All the same, Gilbert drivers will have many options and trim upgrades to consider with either vehicle. Here’s a look at the difference between the C-Class and E-Class price ranges:

  • 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan Price: Starts at $41,600 MSRP*. Available in four trim options, topped with the AMG® C 63 S Sedan at $76,200 MSRP*. Also comes as a Coupe or a Cabriolet.
  • 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan Price: Starts at$54,250*. Also available in four trim upgrades, with the range-topping the AMG® E 63 S Sedan at $107,500 MSRP*. Also comes as a Coupe, Cabriolet, or Wagon. .

Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs. E-Class: Engines and Performance

Mercedes-Benz starts both of these cars with a 2.0-Liter Turbocharged Inline 4-Cylinder engine. Tempe drivers should also note that they both start with 255 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy differs; the C-Class is slightly more efficient in the city or on the highway:

  • C-Class Fuel Economy: EPA-estimated 23 mpg city and 35 mpg highway** on the C 300
  • E-Class Fuel Economy: Up to an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway** with the E 350

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan Engine Upgrades:

  • 385-hp AMG®-enhanced biturbo® V6
  • 469-hp AMG® biturbo® V8
  • 503-hp AMG® biturbo® V8

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan Engine Upgrades:

  • 362-hp turbocharged Inline-6
  • 429-hp Inline-6 with electric auxiliary compressor
  • 603-hp AMG® biturbo® V8

If you’re going with the base trims and performance is your concern, there’s a good reason to check out the C-Class. However, if it’s power you’re after, you’ll definitely appreciate what the upper-level E-Class has to offer.

C-Class vs. E-Class: Interior Features

We’d be remiss if we didn’t take the opportunity to show off the luxurious interior features on both of these Mercedes-Benz models. The difference between the C-Class and E-Class isn’t just about the additional space in the E-Class. These are the features of note:
